About this event

2010 will be a big year for new opportunities. Emerging from the Global Financial Crisis  businesses are at their most vulnerable, not only because investment in new initiatives has been delayed, but because the people inside the organisations are still trapped in GFC thinking.

People and organisations that are able to put the GFC behind them faster, refocusing, grabbing new opportunities while everyone else is still recovering will be the big winners.

But 2010 is also not the time for wild speculation,  chucking ideas into the air to see which one sticks. 2010 is a time for thinking differently, to identify the right opportunities, before investing valuable resources.

“While innovation appears to be comprised of a set of haphazard steps, in the long run it follows repeatable patterns. When you understand these patterns you will be able to more easily identify the conditions and actions needed to create the next innovation”

John Gerrie presents his unique new patent-pending way of picking the right opportunities. He will share with you his experience of running the global innovation process for Reckitt Benckiser, one of the most innovative and successful consumer goods companies, and recent winner of the prestigious The Economist – ‘Most Innovative Company of 2009’ award.

John will show you how you can predict new opportunities with a simple technique he calls ideality, and will teach you his 12 step ideation process that will not only get you thinking differently, but even more importantly, will get business teams working together differently.
